Dr Mondo made this stark prediction 21st April 1999, a full 24 hours after Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold killed 13 other students, injuried 24 and then shot themselves.
Technically Dr Mondo was wrong, 37 times times wrong so far to be accurate.
That's a lot of life, a lot of death, a lot of dreams that will never come into fruition.
Yet still from Sasebo, Japan to Montreal, Canada there's a question burning ino those that survived.
Why Doctor Mondo, why?
Explaining how soft tissue and hard bone can slow or deflect the path of a bullet, diverting it away from more critical areas is easy.
Explaining how the supply of oxygen and glucose is boosted as adrenal gland reacts to environmental stressor conditions is easy.
Explaining how people cope afterwards; fear, anger, agression, terror, dispair, guilt, revulsion is easy.
Explaining how the media reacts; why, how, who, what, when, where, how, why, why, why is easy.
Explaining that since the Enoch Brown school massacre of 1764 human nature remains unchanged, people are still small violent hairless monkeys that have found more deadly tools then the previous generation is easy.
But is it right?
Doctor Mondo predicts sometime within the next ten years, somewhere in the United States this will happen again but worse.
It's highly unlikely DrMondo will be wrong.
