I'd write would be quite hard to pull off correctly but it would be called something like Star Wars: Rebel Insurgancy and it tells the story from the point of view of the Imperial side struggling to fight the growing terrorist faction of the Rebellion.
It would be setup so there's perhaps some unexpected attacks, probably a assination or two and some key characters from the movies getting involved.
Just to mess with the fans, Jar-Jar Binks is in charge of the investigation, a known rebel sympathiser after all. However he is a more mature, more world weary Jar-Jar then we are used to, still able to wise-crack but having seen the seedy underbelly of the world he's "calmer" and quite driven.
The investigation is quite taxing, the more Jar-Jar uncovers the less it appears this is the Rebellion causing the attacks with the targets becoming less mainstream and critical.
With Jar-Jar's insight into both sides of the conflict and his slightly less orthadox way of thinking he begins to connect things together the attacks were not done by the Rebellion but by a moderate ranking Imperial officer tired of his position and orchastrating these deadly attacks to further his career.
With everything wrapped up nicely and Jar-Jar presenting all the evidence there's a Shyamalan ending of the Imperial officer's personal effects being taken away to storage as we see an internal view of one of the cases with a thermal detonator on a count-down timer hidden away as Jar-Jar starts to walk away calmly taking out a com-link where we cut to a special forces Rebellion outpost as his message comes in, "Messa reporting in, the Womp Rat nest is taken care of." The movie ends with Jar-Jar calmly walking away as there's a massive explosion behind him.
